REACT 09

An exciting new initiative launched with the assistance of Craig Brown, the federal coordinator of Churches of Christ, was REACT 09, a families mission camp.

This is designed to cater primarily for 10-13 year old children and their parents and was an opportunity to increase awareness of global issues, understand more about poverty and encourage children to act locally.

It was a camp experience over 2 days, based at Doncaster Church of Christ, and drew on the resources of World Vision, Tear, UNOH and Urban Seed to increase awareness and understanding of issues and resources. Kids Vision is determined to help resource parents so one of the key aspects to this camp was that each child was required to attend with at least one parent and there was opportunity to hear about resources and to debrief together.

Program:

There will also be a surprise 'pay it forward' challenge for the kids to take back to their own church. (Finish approximately 7pm- after tea)

Accomodation is organised (and basic!) and meals will reflect the cultures that we are investigating. A multi sensory experience to remember.
