Training Workshops

Kids Vision:

Kids Vision is committed to supporting local churches and their leaders so they feel empowered and equipped in their vitally important role of reaching todays children. We are excited to be able to offer a range of training workshops to further develop your team in 4 key areas.

Vision- designed to help you and your team dream a future for your children's ministry

Safety- In line with Churches of Christ commitment to implementing the ChildSafe Risk management system, this session investigates the key components to building a child safe organisation.

Leadership- Although their are many different styles of leadership, we will investigate Jesus leadership and help understand your own style of leadership and how it applies in your context.

Community and School engagement- Understanding your own community dynamics and resources available will help understand the options available to you to reach out to the local children and their families.

For more enquiries about running one of these training workshops in your team setting please contact Kids Vision via Darren Jenkins (djenkins@churchesofchrist.org.au) with your name, church name, team details and preferred topic(s).

Phil Day:

Phil has a passion to see parents, schools & children’s workers and church leaders equipped and resourced to join children on the faith journey so that they come to & grow in faith in God as followers of the Lord Jesus Christ.

He has over 35 years of experience of children and families ministry in a variety of teaching, training, ministry and leadership roles … missions, schools ministry, a large regional church, small country and urban churches, CRE, MOPS, play groups, kindergartens.

He is particularly passionate about helping churches and families to work together to effectively disciple and develop faith in children. This has lead to his forming Project Orange networks throughout the state where like minded children's ministry workers explore what it means to partner with families in a local church setting. For more details about Phil and his work with Scripture Union and Project Orange or to investigate his availability for training workshops check out his web page via Scripture Union
